Excerpt email notification doesn't work

There is no HTML excerpt setting that applies to Public Subscribers. With this purchased version of the code Public Subscribers will get HTML Full content email notifications.

If you are comfortable with code I can tell you what needs changed to get what you are requesting.

Okay, in wp-content/plugins/subscribe2/ you'll find your subscribe2.php file.

Open this file in your text editor and look for the publish() function at around line 500.

At the end of this function you'll see the lines where the different types of emails are sent. You need to move the public subscribers up the list a bit.

It currently looks like this:

You needs to change it to:

Registered users are collected based upon their preferences. When a user registers with your site they get greater control of the type of email they get and which categories they want notifications from.

The calls to the $this->get_registered() function pass the categories of the post and also the type of email and only registered users who want notification in those categories and in that particular email format are returned.

You can of course change the code to force all registered users to get HTML full content email but this will over ride their personal preference settings and perhaps generate annoyance among your registered users.

Apologies for missing your follow up on this, sadly this forum only notifies me for new threads but at least we've picked that up now.

I've bought the Subscribe2 HTML, set everybody to receive HTML excerpt emails, but only registered users are receiving them, normal email subscribers are receiving plain text versions.

What file do i need to be in, and what code do i change ? This is pretty urgent thanks.
